ROCS size measurement will be carried out as provided (see note 22-50225945). After size measuring, units will receive the dates of ROCS distribution through the organising unit. At what time to be present for ROCS will be determined by the Quartermaster and the unit concerned, but it will be between 07.30 - 18.00.
ROCS will take place in 2 steps: step 1: size taking and step 2: distribution of the clothing and taking back the current clothing (Corps clothing and CERCOPES). You should count 30' for sizing and 30' for distribution.
Step 1:
Be present in close-fitting sportswear at the time and day set by your unit.
Take your time to try on the BDCS attire and get advice and guidance from the support staff to find the best size for you. The sizing is crucial: based on the sizing, the delivery will take place at a later date.
Step 2:
Be present in close-fitting sportswear at the time and day set by your unit.
You will receive your clothing based on your previous sizing. Check these thoroughly and if required, try them on again. Only when you have checked all items and found them to be correct, will you return your old clothing.
Bring a kit bag with your old clothing. Your corps gear (heavy trousers and vest) that you have on your loaner file should be brought in. If you notice beforehand that you are missing corps items, do not wait and go to your QM to regularise this. If your loan file is not in order at ROCS, you will not receive the BDCS attire.
You can also bring in linen garments and combat shirts. These garments were either given to you in your initial dotation (CERCOPES, woodland type), or purchased through your clothing allowance or obtained through the HumOps warehouse as part of an operational deployment. You can bring in these clothing items of the woodland, tropical or desert type. You will receive rewards for these items (See FAQ 15 en 16).
Bring your military ID! No ID, no BDCS attire.
Do not bring other items such as your mobile phone and wallet to the ROCS location. No lockers or changing rooms are provided and you will need your hands and arms to carry all the items you will receive.
